Mid-Main’s Offers “High-Touch” Primary Care

“I cannot say enough about my positive experience with the Mid-Main Community Health Center over the last 20 years. I was diagnosed with an aggressive form of breast cancer at the age of 45 that required multiple surgeries, chemotherapy, and radiation. At that time, I was seeing a family doctor who told me that I could only bring one concern to each appointment. Given the complexity of my situation, this was impossible. Luckily, I found a new form of primary care at Mid-Main. Mid-Main was there at all hours of the day and night, and on short notice as needed. They gave me access to multiple professionals - pharmacists, nurses, nurse practitioner, family doctor - who were able to address all my concerns and deliver compassionate knowledgeable care. I am so grateful that these kinds of services were being delivered in my neighbourhood.  I was so grateful, in fact, that I now volunteer as a Board member so that I can, in some small way, give back to this great organization. “
